How does MRI work?

Imaging without X-rays

Magnetic resonance imaging uses the effect of a magnetic field on hydrogen nuclei in the body. It produces detailed images of soft tissues and the nervous system.

MRI is particularly useful for examining the brain and spinal cord, as well as conditions affecting muscles and joints.
